SCP Terms and Conditions of Sale: Effective January 2, 2007

Failure to read this information could cost you time and money! Please take the time to read and understand the information on this page to reduce your shipping charges and avoid delays in receiving your materials. 

Shipping Tips: 

SCP will always try to determine the least expensive method to deliver your materials. To keep your shipping costs down, try to give yourself enough time for us to deliver your order on UPS/Fedex Ground or by LTL truckline. Express Shipments for any product is expensive, especially HAZARDOUS MATERIALS! Keep in mind that for most orders under 100 pounds, it is generally cheaper to ship by UPS/Fedex Ground. Most shipments over 100 lbs are generally cheaper to ship by LTL truckline. If you have any questions about shipping an order, please email us at sales@scpusa.com.      

Terms & Conditions of Sale: All prices are FOB SCP factory in West Columbia, SC. When you submit your order, we will shop for the cheapest freight charges and email you the QUOTE that will include shipping! YOU MUST APPROVE THE COST PLUS SHIPPING BEFORE WE SHIP YOUR ORDER! To confirm your order, simply reply to the QUOTE email and write order approved and SCP will proceed with shipment. Your credit card will be charged in full the day the order leaves our factory. 

SCP accepts American Express, Visa, Mastercard & Discover. 

Freight: UPS & Fedex Ground Shipments

For orders weighing 100lbs or less, they will most likely be shipped UPS or Fedex Ground. This is normally the most economic shipment method. 

Ground Transit Times: Transit times will vary with zip code. For delivery times for your address, click here to view the Ground Zone Chart. 

Hazardous Goods: SCP’s Chrome-Etch Acid Stains are considered HAZARDOUS MATERIALS on UPS Ground shipments and are subject to a $30.00 per package HAZMAT fee in addition to S & H charges. For next day shipping, Acid Stains & CHROME-SEAL Sealers are considered HAZMAT and will be assessed a $90 per box surcharge in addition to the FEDEX Priority Overnight shipping charges. 

Residential Delivery Fee: $2.00 per shipment in addition to S & H charges.

Saturday Delivery Fee: $20.00 per shipment in addition to S & H charges.

Please note any address/notification changes made to a UPS/Fedex shipment once it has left SCP’s warehouse cannot be made until the goods are returned to SCP’s warehouse.  To avoid charges and delays, please verify that your address information is correct. 

Freight: LTL Shipments

For most shipments over 100 lbs, it will be cheaper to ship on a Truckline or LTL carrier. All shipments will be made on freight carriers offering SCP a freight discount, which will be extended to you. These shipments will be sent FREIGHT PREPAID. If you request a different carrier, we can send the order FREIGHT COLLECT. You will be responsible for any freight charges or liabilities on such shipments.

Hazardous Goods: A minimum charge of $8.00 - $20.00 per shipment will apply to HAZMAT shipments.

Residential Delivery Fee: Any shipment that is delivered to a residence (even if you work out of your home) will be charged a $65.00 residential delivery fee in addition to the S & H charges. You may ask for the shipment to be held at the dock for pick up at the delivering terminal to alleviate this fee. Any shipment that takes more than 30 minutes to unload will be subject to a $200.00 fee for delaying the driver. For large orders, a forklift or pallet jack is recommended. 

Freight: Damaged Goods

All materials are in good condition when shipped. For freight prepaid shipments, if containers are received in damaged condition, the shipping company is responsible. In order for SCP to file a claim, you must either refuse to accept the merchandise or note on the bill of lading that the merchandise was received in damaged condition and that a claim will be filed. The consignee is responsible for claims on freight collect shipments.      

Returned Goods: 

AN RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER MUST BE OBTAINED PRIOR TO RETURNING ANY PRODUCT! No returns accepted after 60 days. Returns must be in the original unopened containers and shipped freight prepaid. All materials returned will be subject to a 20% restocking fee and reprocessing charge. No returns accepted on custom made products.
