Stamped Concrete combines the beauty and aesthetic appeal of natural paving materials with the economy and durability that only concrete can offer. It’s no wonder major commercial projects such as casinos, municipal streetscapes, hospitals and hotels all choose stamped concrete to beautify and enhance their properties.
The Process: Stamped Concrete can be used anywhere regular concrete is placed. Normally, 4” of concrete is poured, colored and textured before the concrete reaches initial set. The concrete can be colored with SCP’s Dry Shake Chrome-Hard Color Hardener or integrally colored with Chrome-Crete Integral Colors. A bond breaking Powder Release Agent is broadcast onto the surface to keep the StampMaster Stamp Mats from sticking to the concrete surface. The Powder Release Agent normally contains a contrasting color that imparts an aged, antique effect to the surface.
In a day or two, the release agent is washed from the surface and the concrete is sealed with 2 coats of Chrome-Seal Clear Sealer to enhance the final color and protect the surface from UV rays, water and light chemical attack.
