STENCIL-CRETE OVERLAY SYSTEM

Create realistic impressions of tiles, bricks, slates, stones and cobbles over existing concrete with SCP’s patented STENCIL-CRETE Overlay System. STENCIL-CRETE is a thin-set, polymer modified cement resurfacing system designed for resurfacing existing concrete surfaces from 1/16” to 1/4” thick. STENCIL-CRETE eliminates unsightly concrete in over 21 patterns and unlimited color selections. At over 6,000 psi compressive strength, STENCIL-CRETE is strong enough for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic areas. Don’t remove it, resurface it with STENCIL-CRETE!  

The Process: STENCIL-CRETE resurfaces properly prepared, cured concrete surfaces. Prior to application, the concrete surface must be cleaned with a muriatic acid etching and pressure washing. Cracks can be repaired using SCP’s Crack Weld Crack Repair Mix. A thin bond coat grout is applied to the surface to aid adhesion. The bond coat grout will also determine the grout joint color. After the bond coat is dry, SCP’s patented plastic stencils are laid out and SCP’s STENCIL-CRETE Color Grout is applied over them by spray hopper gun or by trowel. Various textures and color highlights can be applied before it is sealed with two coats of SCP’s Chrome-Seal 30% Solids Clear Sealer.

STENCIL-CRETE Color Grout can be easily trowelled over SCP’s patented plastic stencils at about 3/16” thick. After the stencil is removed, usually within a few minutes, liquid release agent is applied before texturing with seamless texture skins.
