Frequently Asked Questions?

What are Rigid Mats? Rigid Mats are Standard Platform tools with handles in the back of the stamp for ease of use. The Rigid Mats are the workhorses of the set and will do the majority of the imprinting.

What are Floppy Mats? The Floppy Mats are much more flexible than the Rigid Mats and will bend to texture tight places that the Rigid Mats can’t reach such as against a wall or to the edges of the forms. Order 1 Floppy Mat for every 6 Rigid Mats.

What are Texture Skins? Texture skins are seamless mats with no grout joints, only texture. They are used to add texture only and to touch up areas where even a Floppy Mat cannot reach. They are extremely flexible and are ideal for texturing step risers, artificial rocks and boulders and vertical surfaces.

How many stamps do I need? The rule of thumb is that you need enough stamps to span your narrow width at least once then have at least 2 to start your second row. This is a minimum number of stamps! Ideally, 12 rigid mats and 2 floppy mats are sufficient for normal size jobs.
