Demonar (dem-un-nar), n: Seminar where demonstrations allow participation from attendees. Learn Decorative Concrete installation techniques at SCP’s Decorative Concrete Demonar. These three & four day instructional courses will give you real “hands on” training for stamped concrete, acid stains, thin set overlays, stamp overlays, self leveling overlays, concrete countertops, concrete scoring/engraving, artificial boulders and vertical wall stamping. Each system is demonstrated on a simulated job-site setting to give students the chance to personally use each product. Class sizes are kept small to enhance the quality of instruction. Classroom instruction includes job costing/estimating, marketing techniques and tips for getting started as a Decorative Concrete Contractor. 

Senior Technical Representative Marshall Hoskins is your course instructor and has taught thousands of contractors installation techniques for Decorative Concrete. He is an ACI Certified Flatwork Technician and frequently teaches at ASCC/DCC industry events. Mr. Hoskins has over 12 years of construction and Decorative Concrete experience. 

2008 Demonar Info:

We are going to have 2 classes of demonars; a beginner to intermediate class and advanced classes. The advanced classes will each be specialized in a certain system (i.e. acid staining, stamped concrete, overlay systems, etc.)

Here is the pricing for the beginning to intermediate Training classes:

$975 for one person and $750 dollars for each additional person. This price will include one $300 gift certificate on products for each $975 paying attendee, and a goody bag with SCP hat, SCP shirt and a coupon for $200 off a future advanced class for every person. Each certificate and coupon will be valid for one year. We hope to develop other goody bag items in the future, but don't feel it is imperative right now.

The advanced classes will cost $1275 per person, with no discount for groups of more than one.

We will also have raffles during demonars, giving away Home Depot gift certificates or something of the like.
